Spec Ops The Line “The Journey” Trailer

Posted by Peter Carpenter | 22 Nov 2011 |

This game isn’t dead.

2K Games have been teasing us about Spec-Ops The Line for quite a while now, and despite rumors the game was being cancelled, 2K released a new trailer to prove this game is still very much alive.

The game takes place in Dubai, where after a devastating sandstorm has ravaged the city, outlaws and refugees fight for survivial in the deserted city. You play as US Army Captain Walker, and with your team, you are searching for an infantry of US soldiers who stayed behind to protect the survivors, but haven’t been heard from since. You picked up a weak distress call and it was enough to keep hope alive and start a rescue search, only to find out they didn’t want to be rescued and have taken up home in the barren wasteland and are prepared to do anything necessary to keep you out.

From what we know and have seen so far, it looks like it should play out as a very fun Third Person shooter in a wasteland atmosphere similar to Fallout or RAGE, and if it’s anywhere near as good as those, we are in for a treat.
