Team17 Announces Worms Revolution

You’re not going fishing with these worms.

Team17 announced today that they are back with a brand new Worms game, Worms Revolution, that will be released late 2012 on PC and consoles.

Worms Revolution features a brand new game engine, new challenges, new weapons and more. Not much else is known yet, but from the trailer we can see some sort of water bomb type attack used, and that would make sense due to the water balloon in the logo. As a huge fan of the Worms series, I’m always excited for a new Worms game, and I like how this is going back to the classic Worms layout, compared to their recent Worms Ultimate Mayhem. I still enjoyed that game, but the new third-person camera angle was good and bad, so even if this is a step backwards in terms of visuals, you can’t go wrong with the classic side-camera view.

Check out the quick trailer below, and stay tuned as we’ll have more on Worms Revolution in the coming weeks.
