Take the Skulls of the vanquished wherever you go.

17 Bit’s upcoming Strategy game, Skulls of the Shogun, will be the first game you can play on four platforms, using the same save game. Not only that, players on all four platforms will be able to compete against each other, regardless of where they’re playing.

Skulls of The Shogun Cross Platform

Whether you’re playing on Xbox Live Arcade, Windows 8, Windows Phone or the upcoming Microsoft Surface Tablet PC, you’ll be able to take your Skulls of the Shogun save file with you, via cloud saves. 17 Bit have also introduced a new multiplayer mode called Skulls Anywhere which will allow you to play, asynchronously, with players on all platforms.

“We call the online mode ‘Skulls Anywhere,’ and we really do mean that,” says Jake Kazdal, CEO of 17-BIT. “The turn-based nature of the game makes for perfect asynchronous play across every platform we’re shipping on. You can start playing a game at home on your Xbox, then head out and play a few turns from the same game on your phone. You might be playing against someone on a PC or a tablet — everyone’s connected via Xbox Live. And regardless of platform, everyone’s having the same great experience, because it’s the exact same game across all those devices.”

Skulls of the Shogun will still feature real time multiplayer, for those on the same platform, as well as a single player campaign that will follow you wherever you go. Check out the latest Skulls of the Shogun trailer below:
