Skyrim’s Dawnguard DLC Available Now for PC, PS3 Still in the Works

We finally hear about the other platforms.

Bethesda have just announced that the long awaited, and as yet only available on Xbox 360, DLC expansion for Skyrim is available now on Steam. That’s right, you can head over to Steam right now and download Dawnguard.

Skyrim Dawnguard DLC

The Dawnguard DLC will retail for $19.99 on Steam and we also have news for PS3 owners. Bethesda released the following statement, separately, regarding the PS3 version: “We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.”

So, there you have it, Bethesda are still hard at work hammering out all of the dents in the PS3 version of Dawnguard so hopefully we’ll have a release date soon. Still haven’t decided? Then you should read our Dawnguard Review.

Well i dont think its fair Ps3 users have to wait, but then at the same time i dont think its fair for Bethesda to have to develop for a backward system like Sony’s. In this case it seems both developer and customer loses out, Bethesda gets stick for something that is ultimatly Sony’s doing for being so damn stubborn in the first place. And Ps3 users dont get to enjoy DLC’s when they should. Really everyone needs to direct their anger at Sony.
