A new Survival Horror coming to PC’s.
Today, Red Barrels Games officially announced their upcoming Survival Horror game, Outlast, which is set to release on PC’s next Summer.
The first game from the newly formed, Montreal based developer will be a single player only experience that puts us in the shoes of Miles Upshur, a journalist that has broken into a recently re-opened Colorado Asylum to try to uncover the secrets that the Murkoff Corporation are hiding within.
“There are already a lot of great games out there about terrifying monsters that eat brains; we want Outlast’s to be scary because you’ll know the enemies you face still have them,” said Philippe Morin, co-founder of Red Barrels.
Red Barrels Games is made up of industry veterans that have worked on games such as Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, and Uncharted, so they have worked on some of the biggest franchises out there. I’m always open to a new Survival Horror game, and after watching the teaser trailer, Outcast is definitely a game to watch.
