One of the best pieces of news from yesterday, even though it was Black Ops 2 eve, was when Lone Survivor creator, Jasper Byrne, announced that his pixel-art, survival horror game would be ported to the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita.
Originally released on the PC, under the Superflat Games label but created solely by Byrne, Lone Survivor is a 2D, pixel art, survival horror game that reminds me a lot of the tone of the early Silent Hill games. Both ports will be done by Curve Studios in London, creators of Fluidity, Hydroventure on the PS3.
When asked if the Vita version would have any touch screen controls added, Byrne said “We haven’t worked out all the details yet, but I do feel that adding touch for the sake of it can be a mistake sometimes?”, an interesting answer but a good one if you ask me.
