Lukewarm Reveals The First Primal Carnage DLC

Posted by Peter Carpenter | 15 Nov 2012 |

Get to the Choppa!!!

If you bought Primal Carnage last month and, like me, were disappointed with the lack of content that it was released with then you’ll be happy to know that Lukewarm Media and Reverb Publishing are ready to reveal the first set of DLC for it.

Set to release for free later this month, the first DLC will include a brand new objective-based mode called “Get to the Chopper” where the Human team must work their way through a new mode-exclusive map to survive the threat of the Dinosaur team, make it to the Chopper and escape before time runs out. They will also be releasing five new character skins, one for each Dinosaur class, and more modes and maps this month, but didn’t reveal all of those details yet.

“Our goal with Primal Carnage was to make the best dinosaur video game to date, and according to the reviews, we’ve done just that – but we are FAR from done,” said Ashton Anderson, lead designer and founder of Lukewarm Media. “Gamers are hungry for more content and today we reveal not only these character skin updates, but also ‘Get to the Chopper’, the first of several additional game modes that will be offered absolutely free to our players. Primal Carnage and its community are looking forward to solidifying our foothold as a stellar multiplayer experience unlike anything else on the market.”

I’m not a big fan of releasing a game this way, but I was a big fan of the actual gameplay in Primal Carnage and “Get To the Chopper” sounds like it could be pretty fun. For now, check out a few screenshots of the new Dinosaur skins below.
