SWAT Added to Halo 4 Multiplayer, Team Snipers Coming Soon

All headshots, all the time.

We’ve been having a great time with Halo 4’s multiplayer so far but one thing was missing (at least in the opinion of two of our staff) and that was SWAT. Not to worry though, our prayers have been answered.

Halo 4 Team Snipers

343 Industries added a SWAT playlist to Halo 4 on Monday and, for those that like their headshots from a littler further away, they will be adding a Team Snipers playlist next Monday.

If you aren’t familiar with SWAT, from playing it in prior Halo games, it is a 4-on-4 team game that removes players shields and starts everyone with a Battle Rifle or DMR. We loved this run and gun, headshot fest in Halo: Reach and we’re glad to see its return.

We’re also glad to see the Team Snipers playlist return, but only so all of you snipers can go hang out together and leave us alone in Team Slayer. The Team Snipers list will have the following maps in rotation when it goes live: Longbow, Complex, Solace, Ragnarok, Vortex, Exile, Meltdown. With all of the Big Team maps in rotation, this should be a lot of fun, if you’re into that sort of thing.
