What the heck is a Halo Bootcamp?
The Korean Ratings Board is quickly becoming our favorite entity in the video game industry as they are constantly breaking news about new games, before anyone hears about them. This time, they’re revealing something called Halo Bootcamp.
In a post on Gamefront, when asked about Halo: Bootcamp, a Microsoft spokesperson said: “What’s Bootcamp? It is not related to our Xbox One efforts, or the Reclaimer Saga, but rather a project we’re very enthusiastic about and will have more to say about in the near future.” If you use Google to translate the page, it seems to reference Halo 3 but Microsoft’s comments seem to suggest this is a separate project and not the long-rumored PC version of Halo 3.
So, it isn’t Halo 5 and isn’t part of the current trilogy that started with Halo 4. What we do know is that the Korean Ratings Board describes Halo Bootcamp as having, “Minor violence representation (expressed as mere weaponry, attacks and a third-person point-of-blood description),” in what is probably an inaccurate translation by Bing. This translation would also seem to indicate that this is a third-person game, but we have yet to confirm that.
Could this game be based on the novel “Halo: Fall of Reach: Bootcamp?” What do you think this new Halo game will entail?
