The first of three DLC packs is coming soon.
It’s been well over three months since The Last of Us was released, and Naughty Dog are finally ready to reveal the first DLC pack for the game. Season Pass holders will be happy to know that they will finally see some return for their purchase when the Abandoned Territories Map Pack is released on October 15th in North America and the 16th in Europe.
The Abandoned Territories Map Pack will include four new multiplayer maps: Suburbs, Hometown, Bookstore and Bus Depot.
“Weather the opposing Faction and the random, dynamic dust storm on the Suburbs map. Explore a layered map of an overgrown urban environment with wild giraffes in the background in the Bus Depot map. Stalk around in a dark, eerie, moonlit, environment – the perfect setting for some serious stealth – in the Hometown map. Bookstore features a stacked, bi-level layout adding a highly unique dose of vertical gameplay.”
Naughty Dog also provided an update on the other two DLC packs that they’ll release for The Last of Us, by saying that the single player campaign portion will star a new character and is on track for a Dec-Jan release, and the second multiplayer map pack will arrive in first half of 2014. To make the wait a little easier, they have added over 60 new multiplayer hats to the Season Pass. Everyone else will still be able to buy the hats, but Season Pass holders will get them as a free bonus.
For now, these screenshots will have to do.
