Prepare 4 install.
If you’re planning on picking up Battlefield 4 for the Xbox 360 later this month, you’ll need to make some room on your hard drive, as it will need almost 15 GB’s of space for optimal performance.
DICE confirmed earlier today that BF4 will have a mandatory 2 GB install (Hard Drive required for Xbox 360, USB devices will not work), and then optional installs of 6.6 GB for the multiplayer and 5.8 GB for the single player campaign. Though optional, DICE recommends the extra installs if you want to have the best possible experience while playing Battlefield 4. Anyone still using the old 20 GB, or even the 60 GB HDD, should look into getting a bigger hard drive. Game installs are only going to keep getting bigger and bigger.
The PC version will require 30 GB’s of free space, and the PS3, PS4 and Xbox One requirements haven’t been revealed yet.
