New Dark Souls 2 Images Reveal Classes and Character Customization Details

Posted by Scott Grant | 11 Feb 2014 |

Are you feeling Deprived?

Dark Souls 2 is exactly one month away from its March 11th, 2014, release date and From Software are celebrating this fact with a pile of new images; images that give away a lot of new details.

Dark Souls 2 Classes

This new batch of Dark Souls 2 screenshots shows off the character creation process and, first and foremost, the available character classes. We’ve already seen a few of them in action, but the official list is now: Warrior, Knight, Swordsman, Bandit, Cleric, Sorcerer, Explorer, and Deprived. The Dark Souls 2 version of the Deprived class is especially hardcore, with lower starting stats than before and no weapon whatsoever. Just your fists.

We also get to see that there will be no Thief class, no Pyromancer (which we already knew), and the Wanderer class has been replaced by the Explorer, a class we haven’t seen yet. The character progression screen has also been updated an looks much more readable, if you ask me, and one notable addition is a displayed ‘Casting Speed’ stat which should be of interest to the magic users out there.

Beards and face tattoos may be in your future, in Dark Souls 2. Check out the new screens below:
