But what does it do?
From Software have pushed out the first post-launch patch for Dark Souls 2, bringing the game up to version 1.02, but the patch notes might be some of the most vague we’ve seen yet.
When translated via Google, the patch notes simply say:
[Items to be improved by this update]
- Modification of the phenomenon that summons sine is unable to write error code is displayed
For We ask everyone of players, we apologize for any inconvenience and Shi kept you waiting a long time, but
I ask repeatedly to have you wait for a while.
※ server maintenance update according to the present application is not.
This latest update file after application, version notation of title upper right corner of the screen will be as follows.
[1.01 ⇒ 1.02]
Now, the update is 85 megabytes, on the Xbox 360 at least, so we’re not sure if this was simply the biggest fix or if there were others hidden in there as well. Either way, Dark Souls 2 already seems to be getting more post-launch support than Dark Souls so that’s a good thing.
The 1.02 patch was rolled out for the PS3 a few days ago, and has hit the Xbox 360 version today, March 24th.
